Hi Noname and welcome to PCWorld Community.
Do you get that message when you open the Forum page? And, is it on the lower left hand side of your Taskbar?
We all get that message, it's something to do with the Server I think. Here's what mine looks like right now =

Is that what you're talking about?

Oh, I just noticed that your question has been posted to the Windows forum. It should've been posted in the PCWorld Website forum.
Maybe one of the Mods will come around soon and move it for you, that way you have a better chance of getting more responses.

Hey coastie!!
I think if you have a Ad Blocker of some sort, you will get a Error message at the
bottom of the page in IE. I use Firefox with no Ad Blocker but, when I used IE 7 and
now IE 8 Beta , I get this: !http://forums.pcworld.com/legacyimages/
1! . Now, do you see the
Yellow triangle? if you double click on it , you get this :

So, it Might just be that what we are blocking will generate some kind of error.
Even though WE can't see any errors , the code of the page might be in error
since not all of the info. is present.

Hey coastie!!
OK, so you don't have the yellow tringle but, are you using ANY ad-blocker
in your IE 7 or IE 8 ? Something like IE7pro ? I just visited other sites with
IE 8 and I don't get any yellow triangle. It's more than likely that it's this web site
since it's based on the Java platform.

Hey Tech!!
I believe this web site (PCW) is Java based and when there is some code that
is not executed , IE reports it in the form of a warning .
If you take a look at the Details in the error message, you see ``js. `` that`s Java Scipt.

As you can see , mine is a little different than yours but, always ```js``.
Tell me, did you finaly up-date java to (Version 6 Update 10) . Well, I did and that`s
probably why the difference in the error reporting.
As long as we can still communicate with the members and each other, I wouldn`t worry .
This should be looked after by the staff that takes care of Clearspace.

Nope. I am not particularly bothered by the ads, so, that is one less utility running in the background. I do have a very good POP UP blocker that keeps those things at bay though.

Adama, thank you, it looks exactly like that,:x
Hi again, Noname,
Sometimes I get that message that I showed you before. And sometimes I get a yellow triangle next to the word Done.
Like this one on my taskbar right now:

When I double-click on it, I get the same message that Flashorn talks about, and that Tech4me has shown in a couple of his posts.
But actually, whether one or the other, it's really all okay. So, I don't really worry about it any more. :)
