I use Windows XP Professional. Everytime I select "Start", "Run", and begin to type a url (say www.) I get a recurring (unwanted) url appearing. How do I remove/delete it to prevent it from from showing up?

I see that posted this question in another thread. I'll just copy my other answer here in case you didn't see it.

You need to clear the
Run History. The only way I know of is to download and install a
cleanup utility such as CCleaner. In CCleaner make sure the check box
called "Run (in Start Menu)" is checked then click Run CCleaner.

WHY are you typing a URL in the "Run" box !? The Run box is used for other purposes .

In addition to what Number^ has said about clearing it, You need to type the URL adress in the address bar in your browser at the top of the start page when you log into the internet. The run box is for an entirely different thing and not the internet. Also, please do not double post the same question. coastie65
