I use windows xp professional. Everytime I select "start", "run", and begin typing in a url (say http://www.) I get a recuring (unwanted) url appearing that I want to get rid of. How do I do stop/delete it from appearing?

You need to clear the Run History. The only way I know of is to download and install a cleanup utility such as CCleaner. In CCleaner make sure the check box called "Run (in Start Menu)" is checked then click Run CCleaner.
