I of course mostly play mmorpgs on my computer. Im testing out eq2 right now well when it gets done downloading. I saw some sherlock holmes games for the computer but hesitated because I'm not sure if they will all run I know the Witcher will be heavy into graphics.

I was over to GameStop Thursday. Took my busted PS2 and trade it in. They gave me a $35 credit -$10 for the refurb charge for a total of $25. No argument here as it was taking up closet space anyway. I picked a copy of "Lost" for the PS3. Yep, it is based on the TV program. I must be one of the three people who have not watched that thing. I think people who are into the program will love it. All the characters from the show are there. You play a character that is not in the show who suffers from amnesia and you need to get your memory back. I also picked up a used copy of " God of War II " as well, as I am almost finished with "God of War ".

Yeah, It looks like they have all the platforms covered except Wii. It looks like that is the general direction the developers are taking, instead of limiting themselves to one or two platforms. I guess you'll still have the exclusive stuff such as Halo. With the upcoming release of Final Fantasy VIII, they have taken that cross platform and it is no longer a Sony exclusive title, as it is being released on the Xbox 360 as well. Is there nothing Sacred these days ? :D

I'll probably hear the scream here in Virginia. :D I think falling off the table may have helped to kill my PS2. Got $25 for that busted thing at GameStop the other day. Actually the Firmware aspect worked fine, just didn't spin and read the disc's. Yeah, there are some Playstation folks that are very unhappy that it is being released for the Xbox as well. That was a Sony exclusive, like Zelda is a Nintendo Franchise. From a developer's standpoint, with the sales of PS3 down, I guess they were just looking for a larger market, that and the fact Micro$oft wants it all.

Hey Piyush, Good to see you back. I guess University has been keeping you busy, as well as your "NEW ADDICTION" . :D I have been back in Oblivion again on the PC. Put an Nvidia 9800GT in here and wanted to see how Oblivion looked. Have been messing around with God of War 2 on the PS3. Completed Tomb Raider : Underworld & Uncharted: Drakes Fortune on the PS3. Got " The Witcher" enhanced version as I was never able to get the free download. messed around with the two expansions a bit although I had already completed one ( I got it with a patch update ). I've seen the trailers for Assassin's Creed 2. I have Assassin's Creed on the shelf for the time being as I got frustrated with it. I was surprised that my Nephew did as well. coastie

Hi coastie . A 9800GT hmmm. I m jealous. Thats a nice card. I ve seen oblivion (played a lil bit) and have always heard good review about it but i personally like witcher more. Inventory handling in oblivion is a bit of headache as compared to oblivion. I ve started another similar game. Its an old game called Fable , which was recommended to me by other witcher and oblivion fans. You might be interested. :)

Hey Piyush, I have Fable: The Lost Chapters for the PC. My nephew has played through it, but I haven't. Yeah, I thought my 8600 GT card had gone south, but after i had ordered another which had been sold ( They are hard to find), I was refunded my money and bought the 9800 GT. It is 2.0 x16 PCIe but does OK in here. This mobo supports 1.0a x16 PCIe, but the card is backwards compatible, and you only lose a minimum of performance. I had the 4 pin connector on the ATX 20+4 pin connector come loose somehow, so I didn't have enough juice for the card. I plugged it back in and the card worked fine. This was after I had ordered the 9800 GT. It was about $115 USD which was a good price. I also went up to 667 Mhz ram from 533 Mhz. That was one those undocumented things. I have CPUZ in here and the memory is fine and running as it should be. I have also gone to a 22" monitor that supports DVI as well as VGA. I guess you can say I've made a few changes in here. The Monitor is a 22" Samsung SyncMaster 2243 BWX. rgreen put me on to that as it was on sale for $200 USD. The inventory handling can be a bit frustrating in Oblivion until you get used to it. There are a bunch of side quests that can add a whole lot of time to the game play.

Ok. Thought it was about time to revive this old thread and I'm bored ( I could be playing Sacred 2). Lots of new stuff coming and I have preodered Uncharted 2. Unfrotuanately, it seems that "The Witcher" for the consoles has hit a snag. There was a release date set for this fall, but it has been removed and no new release date listed. It seems as though there were some problems with the developers or something. Final Fantasy XIII has been moved to June 31, 2010 and they are talking about the new online FFXIV for next year. Seems to me they ought to concentrate on getting XIII out instead jumping on the next one in the series. Anyway, things look pretty good on the gaming front with some interesting RPG's and MMORPG's coming out. Forgot the specifics and title, but Bioware is running out a new title either late this year or early next year.
I did find out while playing Fallout 3, that I am not much of a computer hacker. I was able to hack a few of them, but missed on a lot. Oh well. The bad guys got beat anyway, so I guess all was good in the end. Have messed with Oblivion some in here. Got a really neat sword from mcbarker that he had made using the construction set. That thing is one mean blade. He calls it the "Deathbringer". Almost seems unfair to use it. Have also been dabbling in Tomb Raider Legend on the PS2 as well as The DaVinci Code. Have another RPG for the PS2 that I have yet to play : "Shadow Hearts : From the New World". There are three games in the series. I was thinking of getting the whole series, but one of the games is priced at well over $100 (About $150, I think). I'll just wait and see what this one brings first ( I may not like it ). coastie
