I don't think my 400 W psu is insufficient as I don't have much devices installed and the problem also occurs even when I try to run my computer only with motherboard and processor!!!

You might be right that I may have some loose connectors...i will get those checked and regarding the video card I have already checked it on one of my friends computer and it works fine without any problem.

None of my wires touch any of my components & regarding the power switch I will look at that.

Hi Debasiskanu and welcome to the PCWorld Communities. :D

I have been watching this Discussion since the beginning. From what I can see, you have tried everything short of getting a new case and installing everything within the new case. I am going to throw something out there that may seem a bit odd. Swap out the processor.

Yes, I know...I know, what does the processor have to do with this? Well, in reality, it shouldn't. However, take a look at this Discussion thread. In this Discussion, the member could not get the I/O Panel to work. He replaced everything in his computer to no avail. As a last ditch effort, he swapped out the processor and everything worked like it should.

I cannot guarantee this is going to be the case with you but, as I mentioned, you have done almost everything else. RTFire suggested checking the wiring for the power switch of the case. These two, plus swapping out the case entirely, are the only three options that I can think you have left.

Ok I will look into it and say you after a few days as I have already submitted my mobo in the service center as the problem persisted.

Thanks for your assistance........ :D

Thanks for your interest in my topic.

It is actually making me angry and mad as I have tried everything other than swapping the processor as I can't get the thermal solution easily as it has to be reapplied each time you take a processor out and it is really costly in my case as the problem occurs randomly in my case. Sometimes it starts normally and sometimes the problem occurs. But I will try my best to do so. Also I am going to get a new cabinet as many have suggested changing the case would solve the switch and sorting problem. But as I have already submitted my mobo in the service centre for checking, it will take some time. I will be back as soon as it is done.

Thanks........

Thanks again for your assistance...

Hi, I too have been watching this thread. You mentioned that it was difficult getting thermal compound easily. I am wondering, how much of that stuff are you using as it only takes a very small amount. A small tube such as Artic Silver 5 should be good for a lot of applications. I have installed or reinstalled processors at least 6 times and still have plenty left in that small tube. The old stuff should bee clean off the heatsink and when applying the new, it should only be the amount equal to a half grain of rice. Too much, and it acts as an insulator, and the processor will overheat, thus causing your computer to shut down. coastie65
