Im the type of geek that only selects the needed stuff/ does customized installations with software
with my most recent installation of office 2007 enterprise, i only needed word, ppt, excel, onenote, and publisher
outlook, groove, access, etc. would def not be used
i keep getting prompts in windows update (running xp sp3) to install updates for the unneded office programs. Should i install them or leave be? Which choice would be better for overall system security?
Running separate lan/wifi/internet connections via two different wifi routers and using mcafee security center

Hi Crazy,
I think that if you're pretty confident that you have good security programs, you can let those Office programs just be. However, you might be pestered to death about updating them.

Hi Crazy.. I have office 2007.. and IMO...I will get all updates that I can get...They are there for a reason.(If you want to get the best of it)
I can't live without outlook....Thats where I organize my emails.....Once I set it up , I can check email anytime without signing in. Best of all ,I don't need to get online to get to my email box and dowlnload the files from there if I need it.
I 'd keep them all.......you never know when you need them.....Its good to know they are there (don't take that much space)
