Once upon a time I had a GoVideo dvd recorder. Needless to say as the recorder went bust so did the company. The thing is I really loved the editing capability of the machine and have not been able to find anything like it since then. Rarely but occasionally I do record something on TV that I would like to keep but edit out the commercials. For instance I currently have on my dvr 20 episodes of "Wonder Pets" that I would like to transfer to dvd for my 2 grandsons ages 10 months and 6 months. Unfortunately Grandma keeps falling asleep when trying to transfer them and messing up. (Good thing I use a rewritable disc.) With my GoVideo this wasn't a problem because I could run things off on to a disc and then go into the edit mode and select start and stop points and delete the sections I wanted. I could then "merge" stuff together and would have ended up with one long playing disc. Does anyone know of any software out there that I could do this with on my computer?

Transfering copyrighted material illegally is not allowed to be discussed on this forum. My apologies this thread is now locked.
