I have 'updated' my HP Scanjet 3670 software (driver) and now have the HP Solution Center icon on my desktop instead of the original HP Director. The Solution Center works fine for viewing photos, it just does not provide for a mechanism to activate my scanner. It does not do any good to reinstall the original disc, so how do I get the scanner to work?

Hi sanjo and welcome to the forum. I don't think you will get a lot of help from HP. I have an HP all in one C5180 printer. I uninstalled the software due to an error message and couldn't determine if it was my camera or printer so uninstalled ALL the software. I have been unable to reinstall it and their support has been no help. Every solution they offered, I had already tried. I have ben running my printer and scanner using the microsoft printer & scanner utilities with XP MCE. It is pretty barebones, but works. coastie65
