Hey gemini!!

OK, I know it's an inconvenience to have those on your PC so, this is

what we should do , If you are willing.

First , Download , install and Up-Date the definitions Before you do a FULL

scan with SUPERAntiSpyware . Once you are finished scanning and in your

next post , plz , go to the Logs tab , in Preferences and upload the log for this day.

The second security app. that we should run is MalwareBytes AntiMalware .

Again , download , Install and Up-Date the definitions Before you do FULL scan. Once you have finished plz,

upload the log by going to the Logs tab .

Since you specifically mention this infection by name , we will make use of an extra security app.

called VundoFix by Atribune . When on that site plz , scroll down to

Normal Usage for Removal: and

read the specific instructions on how to install this scanner. Again , post the log from VundoFix

in your next post.

After cleaning this infection , you should also download ATF CLeanerand clean out the Temps Files on your PC

All of these apps. are FREE and safe to use in XP or Vista.

These scans will take some time to finish, so, be patient and follow my and

VundoFix's instructions.

If you have any questions on how to, post back and I will help with

what you need to know.

What ? So I ONLY need 4 MORE pieces of software to get rid of this $%^*&$ crap ?

That doesn't make any sense.

A Mac is sounding better all the time.

Hey espn8 !!

Welcome to PCWorld Community!

To a certain point , I agree that there are Lots of malware floating around

and targeting MS but , don't be disillusioned . Mac's time is coming. More

are trying out the Apple or Mac platform which in turn will eventually be a likely

target as well. Even Apple is asking their followers to install and keep updated

some kind of Antivirus software .

Just be thankful that there still are ways and People willing to help you in your

time of need.

Flashorn,

I used you method listed below and it worked. I have researched off and on for an answer to this nasty malware for a while and even bought a few tools, but nothing worked. Thanks for documenting this.

Hey NCSlammer !!

Welcome to PCWorld Community !

I'm glad the the instructions were of some help. To finish the removal

we should also make use of this .exe . It is a On Demand antivirus

scanner which necessitates no installation. Dr.WebCureIt .

Srcoll down to bottom of the page and click on the download link.

Also , make sure that you have deleted all past Resore Points and created a New One.

Go to this page for further instructions on How to delete old Restore Points :

www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial56.html#delete for XP .

In Vista, please refer to this page :

[http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial143.html] for Vista .
