Great article and I guess another reason to enjoy my PS3. Good that you put that out so that people will be informed about it. If I had an Xbox, with is not likely,I would definately give it a good think. Goods Job and Thanks for the informative heads up. coastie65

Nice article, DigiYumi/Aurora. :D

If I was a gamer and I had an XBox, I'd be sure to avoid signing up with the XBox Live Personal program.

Np thanks also be warned I have a friend who got a 1 rrod instead of 3 and Microsoft won't replace it. Jason also says that much of the time people will keep calling into tech support and they will eventually hand out personal information.

PS3 fans still going on about RROD which was fixed long ago, but 360 owners are having a great time. The disk scratch case should be thrown out of court. News flash! Moving your Xbox 360 while the disk is spinning could potentially cause a scratched disk. The disk tray is an industrial design that has been used since the first CD players. Should we sue every manufacturer of every product that uses this type of disk tray? I am too busy enjoying the best online service which is of course Xbox Live! Netflix alone is worth the price of admission, and I still don't need blu-ray.

The article only stated the scratch disc and rrod of things that are commonly known, yes coastie is right I don't like the PS3 at all. The point was really Microsoft's inability to cancel your account online and cheeky privacy habits of not removing credit card information off the website. Rather then having anything to do with the hardware itself.

On another note I redesigned Yumi slightly in this one if anyone has any opinions of her redesign if you like the new one or the old one better let me know.

Thanks for your input Coastie, so far everyone I've asked likes the new sleeker cuter design as well compared to the more semi-realistic. Even when Yumi has always been based on Manga/Anime this one gets closer to Manga. Just need to be sure before I make the change permanent.

That is my point why open the article with RROD and disk scratching if the article is supposed to be about Microsoft "security issues". They keep your card is a single issue. It really isn't uncommon for companies to keep your credit card number for repeat customers.

Its the not removing it upon request or having the ability to do so. The opening mentions rrod which still happen frequently as to other issues that go on with the 360.

Seems like everyone I talk to has more horror stories to share.. here are some clips from a friend I was talking to " I read it and i was like I remember on regular xbox how i had that problem. I remember selling my regular xbox, starting up a new account on 360 and being billed for the old regular xbox account after it was supposed to expire. Also for like 3 years how my account was susposed to end but i'd get a bill for $50 to pay for another year. This is why now i buy the point card instead of using a credit card"

I asked why 3 years if he had tried to cancel:

"{size:3}{font:GoudyOlSt BT}like the first time it was supposed to be over and i got the bill. they said it was already billed and cant be cancelled so i have to pay it. Second time I lost track and the third was when I got the 360 and forgot about the regular xbox"{font}{size}

buyer beware

Sounds like deceptive and predatory practices to me. Nuff said.

So much for reading the article :D
>For anyone wishing to avoid the hassles of canceling, and having your credit card information engraved upon Microsoft's website you can always purchase an Xbox Live subscription card.<
That should be easy.

Yeah, you would think. My nephew was over at my other sisters ( his Aunt) and she dropped him off around noon. He took over the computer instaed of the PS3 for about three hours, until he went home. Guess tomorrow he will come straight over here at around 8:15 AM. :D
