I've got many 35 mm slides that I'd like to convert to .jpg files and my hp scanner seems inadequate to the task. Is there a hardware device that is particularly suited to the task?

Hey Ron!!
Welcome to PCWorld Community!
You could get an adapter to scan slides and transparent media BUT, it will be
VERY long and you might not like the output. Plus you have to buy Good software
to do this kind of work. A simpler way would be to bring them to a Photo Finsher
and have your slides transfered to DVD. They have the hardware to do the job .
