Hey Tech, I just bought this 22" Samsung monitor from Newegg. $199.99 and no shipping. Ordered it Monday afternoon and got it yesterday afternoon. I have used TigerDirect as well, with no problems or complaints. Is good as well, although their shipping takes a bit longer. I don't know why anybody even bothers with ebay. No deals to be had there that is for sure. More often than not you'll overpay for something you could have bought for a lot less elsewhere. Like the nut jobs selling component cables for a PS2 for $50 - $75. Just go out and look up Component cables for a PS3 ( $19.99 ), they'll work just fine. coastie

I shop around quite a bit, but I have four websites I use more than any of the others. For components, Newegg is number 1, followed by TigerDirect, then Geeks. I used to really like ClubIT, because they'd guarantee things like motherboard revision numbers or CPU stepping. Unfortunately, they are no longer around. For cooling fans and cables and things like that, I go to XSFan. They don't have an incredible selection, but they have good prices and excellent shipping. Their prices tend to be as low as Newegg, but their shipping is much lower. Instead of buying a $3.99 fan and paying $6.99 for shipping, you buy the 3.99 fan and pay $2.99 for shipping. One reason I like Tiger is because I live in Illinois, where they have a warehouse. I've ordered things from there on a Thursday afternoon and had them in my hands on Friday morning just using the cheapest shipping. Yeah, I have to pay tax at Tiger, but it's cheaper than overnight shipping from Newegg.

Tech4me - I alerted Coastie when he told me in another thread he was looking for a 20" because he thought that was all that would fit his space. I happened at the time to be testing this Samsung monitor for the mother of a friend of mine. I was building a computer for her and this monitor looked good. It has a very narrow frame so it's a little narrower that some of the 22 inchers out there. It has a good image, but it is very bright. I had to turn the brightness down to about 17 on DVI input. I noticed when linking the page, that it has just dropped $10 in the last day.
For my use, I prefer a 24" like my HP, but it was a good deal more last year.

DOG GONE IT!!!!! Why do they always do that AFTER I have bought something ? Oh well, guess I'll survive :p Hey Tech, this thing is fantastic. That was a great recommendation from rg. Yeah, it is super bright out of the box with DVI hook up. My Nephew is sittng here chomping at the bit to get a hold of this computer, but he is going to have to wait. I had a 19" wide screen with only VGA and Svideo ports, and I was looking at 20" w/ DVI. I told rg that i only had a space 20 3/8" wide to put it in. He told me that that monitor was only 19 7/8" wide. Got plenty to look at now and it is a good one.

Newegg is kinda like playing the stock market, you never know if it's going to be free shipping, or lower priced, everything changes every few days. I've hit it both ways on Newegg. My dad bought a case about a month ago, and the price dropped $5 within 24 hours of him ordering it, so he called them and asked if they could match it. They said "Well, we don't do that because prices change so often, but this time, since you haven't recieved the case yet, we'll refund the difference." So he was happy with that, then, to top it off, they sent him a Newegg baseball cap right after that, for free!

I Have only used Tiger and newegg.... I prefer Newegg, and find they have all round better deals then tiger.... I get both of their emails and can catch some really good deals with TIger also... I Prefer Newegg though since a lot of their items are free shipping and real good deals. They also have a warehouse out in Edison NJ so I get my stuff in like 1 business day 3 at the very MAX!

Yeah I use both sites often though. Order stuff at least 1 -2 times a week. At work we have Tigerdirect set up with an account so all I have to do is email the part information I. E. Number and bingo bango the parts come to work :) But 90% of my personal stuff is ordered through Newegg.
