how do you actually convert from m4a to m4r as my computer is noit letting me , well i think am doing it wrong, should i go into properties? as thats what am doing?
This article I linked to earlier in the discussion says all you need to do is rename the file type. Open up Windows Explorer (My Computer) and go into Tools > Folder Options. On the view tab, un-check the box to "Hide extensions for known file types." You can now see the file type, so just rename the file from
song1.m4a to
song1.m4r After you've changed the file type, you can recheck that box to hide file type extensions again. Typically, you would need to use special conversion software to encode the file differently. Apparently m4a and m4r files are so similar that special software isn't necessary.
