I lost all sound on my computer after an Adobe Flash Player upgrade. In my October 2008 PCWorld, Steve Bass referred to this and now that I need it I am unable to get to:find.pcworld.com/61360 or 61361. Can you please advise and direct me to the procedure that would help me to solve this irritating problem?

Sincerely

mcpmd

Hey mcpmd !!

Welcome to PCWorld Community and Happy New Year !

I have found the articles that you asked for but, I must caution that these

are Registry Fixes so, If you are not familiar with tweaking the Registry

I would recommend going another route.

find.pcworld.com/61360 :

find.pcworld.com/61361 :

Have you tried Uninstalling the Flash Player up-grade and re-installing the previous

version. I know that most of the "Regular" members at PCW had to uninstall version 10

and re-install version 9 because we could no longer up-load images to this forum.

Go to Control Panel > Add / Delete in XP and uninstall from there.

In Vista , Control Panel > Programs & Features.

You can download the previous version from FileHippo Flash Player 9 .

One more thought , have you checked that this is not any

kind of infection. Adobe has been a target and there could

be a possibility that this might stem from some infected files.

Just to make sure you are malware free plz , download , install

and Up-Date the definitions of this FREE Antimalware program.

Make sure to run a FULL scan of your PC.

MalwareBytes AntiMalware .
