Sorry if my english is bad.

So I have problem with my computer. I have a portable computer and I download music in a compressed folder. I extract the folder and get a picture (the folder contain photo of album and songs).

When I transfer compressed folder to different computer not my portable computer, I extract folder and see the the picture and all music files.

Anyone help me with my problem? PS I use window vista...^~

Hi Minsuray, and welcome to PCWorld Community.

Sorry, but I'm having a bit of hard time understanding your question. It seems like you're having problems downloading music to your Laptop?

Yeah, what specifically is your problem? File won't open? Chances are, you may need to fully open the compressed folder first and then transfer each file over, or you need a utulity that will do that for you.

Im sorry for bad engrish :)

Um.
I have two computer, 1 is portable, the other is desktop.

I download music file compressed zip folder onto my desktop on portable computer. I open but only album art show (1 picture).

I transfer the file from portable to desktop using my portable memory stick and then open compressed folder in my desktop (non portable computer).

THey both are using default the default opener for files (window explorer and portable computer is vista, while other one is the xp). So on the non portable computer, the compressed file opens all music files and the picture of the album.

Is there something wrong with my computer? Because im afraid to use the portable computer because it might not open all file next time.

So you downloaded a compressed folder onto a vista PC and it showed only album art . Then you transferred it to a xp pc and it showed album art and music files both. Is that what you are trying to say ?

Can you post the link from where you are downloading this file ?

@piyushsingh...

YES!!! That my question!

THe link is for OST (Original soundtrack) for korean drama called war of money.

1. sharebee.com/002c73a3 ... first OST

2. [http://sharebee.com/2bdcf244] .... the 1.5 OST

I downloaded both onto vista portable and it extracts and shows only album art in thefolder

Hi minsuray, What I would try is this: Once you have downloaded the Zip File on to your portable, Open them to a file in MY MUSIC. I understand that they will take up a lot of Hard drive space once they are open. Now once the files are open and in a folder, you should be able to transfer the folder to your desk top. That having been said, I am not aware of any problems between Vista and XP as far as file trnsfers go, so it should work. coastie

these are normal .zip archives. Vista by default can open these type of compressed files. When you have the files , just right click and there will be an option Extract all. Use it and see , the files should come up properly.

I don't think anyone quite understands this

When I open the file from my portable computer, it only shows a picture, and not the music files. Even I extract the compressed folder to file anywhere, it show as picture w/file being the picture size. The compressed folder still same size (45mb ~ 60mb) . I think my computer is just mess up ? Because my desktop computer show file fine
