Hello forum members,

This morning when I went to update my ad-aware anti-spy program I found that it would not open. I got an error message somethng with 0000413. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program 3 or 4 times but it still would not work. The only other time this happened to me concerning this program was when they changed ad-aware to ad-aware 2008 free. I thought they were coming out with a new 2009 edition. I went to the lavasoft homepage but there is nothing there about a new adaware program. I then went to cnet and there was nothing on this there either. Does anyone of you know anything about this? I always thought that adaware free was a great antispy program.

I used it for some time, but I decided to try other programs because Ad-Aware 2008 uses so many resources.

If you still want to uninstall Ad-Aware , here are the instructions found

on the Lavasoft forum.

Uninstall Ad-Aware .



If you ever want to uninstall a program and it will not the first time , Re-Install

and use this Uninstaller from Revo :

It also has many tools to choose from. This is a FREE software and considered

to be one of the best uninstaller as of yet. Until you get familiar with this uninstaller,

I would suggest only using the Second Option.



The error you were getiing is for a Duplicate File , meaning , you were trying to

re-install a file alread there.So , your first attempt at uninstalling Ad-aware failed.



OH ! and BTW , there is a Ad-Aware 2009 but , PLZ do not try to download and install.

IT IS A ROGUE PROGRAM!!!!!! .
