"The Windows 7 beta is actually an upgrade, not a full new install. You need to have a machine running Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) to install the beta."
According to Brandon Leblanc on the Windows 7 Team blog, this is not correct. He stated that you can perform a clean install -OR- upgrade from Vista SP1.

Don't waste your money. Buying a $100 program to burn a free beta defeats the purpose of it being free. Use ISO Recorder, K3b or another free program.
