In all my years of computing, I've gotten only one peice of malware (kagoo anti kro$oft). Now I can really understand how people get hit by malicious software. Just in the last few months I've been doing normal surfing and sites that come up green by AVG and WOT, take me to a page by Antivurs 2009 offering a free security scan. Naturally I didn't click either button. Instead, I hit the Escape key and closed the tab. I hope everyone will be very careful with things like this going around.

Hey number !!
Yes, we have been swamped by members requesting help with 2008 - 2009
in the last four months. And there are others that are not too well known yet
that are making the rounds. Take a look at this site where, they are well
documented. They also supply the manual deletion of these infection but ,
plz be careful if you are to use the Delete way.
For XP / Vista .
I must also warn that they suggest you use "SpyHunter" which is NOT to be Considered.
The info. contained on that site is valuble but, plz do not advise using "SpyHunter" .

:D Hi :
IF I were to use a "safe site monitoring" software, my FIRST CHOICE would be Finjan,
NOT AVG's "Site Advisor" or Firefox's "WOT Add-On" . Finjan is both IE and Firefox
compatible; see the Info at securebrowsing.finjan.com/index.html .

AVG bought "LinkScanner"; McAfee bought "Site Advisor" .

Yeah, not to mention a small flurry of activity form some who had downloaded Spyware Guard 2008 ( Really Nasty ). The legitimate app is SpywareGuard 2.2 . As much as has been out there about Antivirus 2008 - 09, you would think they would know about it and avoid it. coastie
