i've been using Eset smart security 4 on my test installations of windows 7 and i really like the simplicity of the ui and the security most of all.
my question is this-

how does Eset rate in overall secureness when compared to AVG, Mcafee, and Comodo?

my point in case is that- AVG free is just a pain to install now (too many screens to click through) Mcafee is annoying when updating (resource hog), and comodo locks down the computer in an uuber secure mode (harder to work with than vista's UAC)

Posted Image Hi :

As you most likely know, most of us here favor the "layered" Approach to security, so ANY

"Suite" is NOT recommended . NOD32 from Eset Software is One of the top-rated

antiVIRUS programs, but I have heard that their "Smart Security" has "problems" .

Would seem wise to read through at least some of the Threads on its "Official" Support

Forums at www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=89 . And even though I have

heard that Windows 7 is much like Vista, I am unsure as to How many security apps are

compatible with the BETA Windows 7 !?
