Internet Explorer Problems

Lately I have been having trouble with IE when opening a page or going from one page to another...ect.. It is taken for EVER to load pages. A lot of the times you will see in the lower left hand corner saying loading 1/10..........2/10.........3/10.....ect.. and some times it does not even load everything on the page. Some times the pages are only half loaded or maybe half the imagies are loaded but the other half are just that little white box with the red X in the middle. Some times I can hit refresh and it might load a few more or maybe nothing. This problem is driving me nuts when trying to surf the net go to my home page ect...
It seems to be mainly related to IE because the games I play on line run perfect (like EQ2) and have just about zero lag. I have tried derag, disk clean up, I have run Avast, Super Anit Spywear, the new version of Advanced windows Care....and nothing major has shown up so I am not sure what else to do or where else to look to figure out why I am having this problem.
I run windows xp

Who knows what the dubious "Advanced Windows Care" from IOBit, which last I heard
is based in mainland China, has done to your computer !? Probably it includes a
"Registry Cleaner", which are recommended to be AVOIDED, since there is little
possibility it will provide some benefit contrasted with a potential for doing harm .
And unless you use the FREE Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, available from
www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php , you have not done a good job of
checking for malware . IF the SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Results have something
other than "adware/tracking cookies", it would be wise to post its log so Flashorn &
I could look for "clues" of possible hidden malware .

What Malwarebytes detected does NOT seem to imply "hidden" malware on your
computer . As I implied earlier, I suspect that "Advanced Windows Care" has "deleted"
and/or "modified" something in your registry that should have NOT have been done .
Since you have uninstalled that program, that means you are unable to have it
"reverse" what it did . At this point, I recommend you try the Windows built-in
Checkdisk Utility and the best Site for Info on this is
www.updatexp.com/windows-xp-chkdsk.html . I recommend you use the "Command
Line" version and start with the exploratory "chkdsk c:" FIRST, to see IF anything is
"detected" according to the "Report" that it issues . IF the "Report" shows there are "Errors",
then run the program again, using the "chkdsk c: /f /r" command . Note there is a blank
space BEFORE EACH "/" .

Any other ideas to either figure out what is wrong or figure out how to fix it? Please?

Next "try" is to use the "System Restore" Capabilities of your Operating System to "restore"
the computer to a time just BEFORE you installed the "Advanced Windows Care" program .
There is an excellent "Tutorial" on HOW to use "System Restore" at
www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial56.html ; most likely you should focus
on the "Restoring Windows XP to a previous State" portion of the tutorial .

I agree with Spirit that you might be able to get back to normal with System Restore.
If you know when this problem has started then you could Restore to just before.
Another suggestion , did you try to Uninstall IE and re-install? Siince XP came with IE6
installed and part of XP , maybe install IE7 if you don't have it already.
Have you tried to use Firefox Firefox 3.0.5 , to see if this situation resolves itself.

So how can I improve my IE more because like I said it is working a lot better but still fairly slow? Almost seems like it runs good some times and then other times he just runs really slow. Some pages I go to seem to open up right away and then some seem to open slowly......like the pictures and such seem to take a bit to load and some times not all of them load. On those times when all of them don't load I just get that little white box with the red x so not sure what thats about.
Is there any way uninstall IE6 and reinstall it?
It just seems like the pc is working harder then it should just to open web pages
Thanks a ton for getting me this far.

You might want to check your resident virus protection program and its settings. One of the reasons I've changed programs in the past is because some of them take FOREVER to decide if the page you're visiting is "safe". One thing I've noticed about this is that, if your system takes too long analyzing content, the site you're visiting can "timeout" and leave you with nothing when you finally do get the IE window open.

Hi Arther. Just as a follow-up to this question, no Internet Explorer 6 is embedded deep within Windows and cannot be removed. The only thing that can be done is remove access to Internet Explorer 6 but I do not believe that will resolve your issue.

I'm sure you've already run some reliable cleaning programs, and defrag'd your drives.
Another thing you might do is go into your Tools > Internet Options > Advanced and below the window showing the options, click on the Restore Advanced Settings (to original defaults) button. You'll have to restart IE then.

I, also, use the FREE Avast Home Edition, though I run 1 more "Provider" than
OlPhilosopher . IF you are using the "Default" Settings, I doubt Avast would be the Cause
of the occasional "slowness" . IF you have done any "modifications" of those Settings, let
us know .
I realize at this point you have not told us the "specific" name of your Operating System,
who is your Internet Service Provider, or the "type" of your Connection ( DialUp, DSL, Cable
etc ), that might provide "Clues" . IF you are interested in having a "Review" of the programs
on your computer, Post the "Uninstall Manager" Log from the FREE "HijackThis" program .
