And again, where is the friendly 'Print' 7 / or PDF option? How many thousands of times do we have to ask for this???

For buying a hard drive, capacity is not the only thing to look at. There are two types of hard drives- platter-based (no idea if this is the right word) drives are cheaper per gigabyte, but they generally have trouble surviving falls. SSDs are more expensive, but they offer better battery life, and they are also faster and also are better at surviving falls. If you want speed, it's best to go for an SSD, even though it might not have less capacity as a platter-based drive.

As for RAM, be sure to check the RAM type. DDR3 is the best choice right now, and you wouldn't really need need more than 4GBs of RAM at present.

Being hearing impaired I do not understand why there is no written words that can be read indicating what the person is talking about. The video does not need to be Closed Captioned. With all the technology that PC World has at its fingertips it should be easy enough to equip a laptop with a microphone and Dragon Naturally Speaking or some other speech to text software to help reduce the spoken word to written.

I too am hearing impaired and the movies are not usable to me. I would love it if they were texted or closed captions. Even tutorials for software seem to be all movie files now and it is quite frustrating. Please...the technology is here. thnx, Jann

Love the video, but it'd be great if I could go to full-screen. Is there any way to make the video larger for people with poor vision?

Nice info in the article. I would say, check your preference like screen size, tech features etc and then check with available brands. I did the same check last year and settled for sony vaio E series in green colour. It works absolutely fabulous for me. In fcat I things all majoy players like sony are increasing their product lineup, like sony. This year theu got 62 models in india in core 17, i3 and i5 configuration and that too in 9 colours. (details from sony.co.in/vaio) Consumers are just spolit for choice. i hope i can save enoug to buy a laptop for my brother now.
