Nick, with all due respect, do your research. Crackulous is a free, open-source app. The "author" you're quoting is a scammer trying to sell others' work. Try using the original source instead of third-party account. It's all on the front page of Hackulo.us.

A hacker being hacked by hacker pirates no that somethin you don't hear about everyday. But it must go on behind the scenes but those are the stories you don't hear.

Try-before-buy is not a right, nor is it a valid excuse for piracy. Many 'lite' versions of apps are available if the developer wants to provide a preview.
Nobody cares about the tragedy of a hacker falling on their sword - this whole story is just dreamed up for publicity.

@ McDaveH: Agreed about try-before-you buy insofar as it isn't a right and it isn't a valid excuse for piracy. But developers should have the option of building in, say, a 15-day trial into their iPhone apps, just as they can with desktop apps.

Nice one! Maybe then I can grab it, grab Taxi Magic, and then use it to grab cab rides from other people. Three degrees of separation already!
