Does anybody have any idea on how to "Run, Launch, or start" this game? The read me file said after install, start game in steam. I only managed to get a 30 second introduction about a piece of corn by opening up the file with "open with wimamp player" from the right click menu. In those brief 30 seconds, it looks like a pretty cool game. Nice graphics. I searched every file I could find and can't find the start game button. You guy's got a hell of alot more knowledge on this stuff than I do. I thought maybe you can direct my way...
Thanks, Jeff

Hi Squishie and welcome to the PCWorld Communities. :D
I have changed your Discussion title to give a clearer indication of your question. For future reference, please be as descriptive as possible in both the heading of your Discussion as well as the post itself.
After doing a bit of research, I have found that this is not a stand-alone game. This is a mod to the game Half-Life 2. I am not a gamer and could be wrong but my understanding of mods is that if you do not have the game for which the mod was created, you will not be able to play the mod.
I downloaded the .zip file and read the Read Me file. It does confirm what you stated about Steam. However, there is no reference indicating that you should have Half-Life 2 in order to play the game. Also, the Read Me file indicates that the game should be played within Steam. So, it looks like the only way to figure this out is to test it myself.
I installed Steam and then installed the mod based on the Read Me instructions. Once the mod was installed, I opened Steam and tried to add the mod into Steam. To do this, I selected the My Games tab and then clicked on Add non-Steam game... in the lower left hand corner of Steam. The new window that appears shows all the .exe (executable) files that are in my computer that can be run through the Stream engine. The window looks like this: (Click on the image to enlarge it.)
However, Steam did not find anything referring to A Corny Voyage. I opened Windows Explorer and looked in the A Corny Voyage installation folder (C:Program FilesSteamsteamappsSourceModsA Corny Voyage) and found that there is no .exe file associated to this mod. I found nothing that Steam could use to open that mod.
Again, since I do not use Steam, I may be doing something wrong but my opinion is that either:
- The .zip file does not have the necessary .exe file to play the mod within Steam
OR
- Half-Life 2 is required to play the mod (As noted within the creator's download page )
I'm leaning more to the latter opinion. Bottom line, you may need to have a Half-Life account with Steam in order to play this mod.

Thank you for taking the time in findng a answer to my question. I wondered about "steam" and tried to bring it up in PC search window, That didn't help because it gave me listings for bathroom fixtures and steam-cleaning equipment. What is steam and how would I go about getting the software? In the mean time I will try downloading that other program and see if that will link up with this one. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thank you again for the information.

With pleasure. :D
I really cannot tell you too much about Steam since I do not use it but it appears to be an engine that will allow you to play certain games. I cannot figure out why one would want to play a game inside of an engine when it would work just as well outside of the engine but that is beside the point. You can access Steam here:
http://store.steampowered.com/
Once there, click on the green and black download icon that looks like this:
