My PC passed the test --

I still get the following message:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'JSPARAC102@AOL.COM'. Subject 'Stratfor.com: Iranian Proxies: An Intricate and Active Web', Account: 'mail.coosahs.net', Server: 'mail.coosahs.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '450 Traffic is being throttled (recipients per ip limit: GlobalIPAddressLimits)', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 450, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Can anyone narrow this down?

Thnkvermch,

Si -

Forgive me if I'm wrong in my "assumption" but, I thought that when I agreed to a plan with my ISP for X package at X upload/download speeds, THAT I WAS PAYING FOR MY BANDWIDTH USAGE. So now I'm being called all sorts of pejoratives like "HOG" because I'm using what I am paying for? What aren't the ISP's being called frauds and scam artist for doing what the FBI calls, "BAIT AND SWITCH?"

Isn't BAIT AND SWITCH a FEDERAL CRIME? And since when is it a crime to actually use what you are paying to use? If I am paying for the TOP PACKAGE OF 20MB DOWN AND 10MB UPLOAD SPEEDS, WHY AM I BEING TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL WHEN I USE IT?

It's like going to a restaurant and paying for a meal and the waiter comes and snatches my plate from me because I'm trying to eat the whole thing and yells at me about it. Didn't I buy this meal?

Once I've paid for the usage right aren't I entitled to using what I paid for? We pay for and use Netflix in my home. We also have Hulu. If I have five different programs being watched at once, like I paid to be able to do, and pay my bill every month for "super-fast" internet so that I can watch all of my programming online without glitches and pixelation, WHY AM I BEING TREATED LIKE I'M DOING SOMETHING WRONG?

The ISP offered all of us various speed packages. Some of us chose lower packages and some of us thought that it was important enough to us to pay them THE PREMIUM RATE FOR THE PREMIUM PACKAGE. If they couldn't actually support what they sold to the point that slower packages feel slower than they are, whose fault is that? And if they can creatively implement QOS to breach their agreement with me, why can't they do it to ensure that you can the speed that you are paying for?

And when will we stop allowing these companies to play us against one another and start to hold them responsible for what they are doing?

Here is my take on that:

1- I live in the 21 century, I am not sure where the ISP company live.. it seems to me that they are still in the dark ages and with that they are trying to keep us there too.
2- with today's technologies_and please correct me if am wrong_ but there is capacity to do all we need to do( i was just reading about the new satellite ViaSat launched and that baby is capable of speeds of 140GBS ..
3- if the SP s are advertising that they can do what they are saying, well they better deliver it! or is it Bait and Switch? seems that way..

what really gets my blood pressure up is that these ISPs want their monthly payments no matter what! good or bad or so-so service still want to get paid! so what kind of leverage do we have when the service is not so good?

none of us would be complaining if they would do what they are advertising they can do ( or is it false advertising? ) in conclusion, do not advertise that which you can not deliver! B)

Because while I do realize that most people didn't get into cablemodems but so fast and even then more than a few never really test the limits, it was not that many years ago I used to get 300M down 150M up speeds and for the same price that I am now paying for the schitty 20M down 10M up speeds, that's why I know they are throttling.
