Okay, there may be some miscommunication. Let me try to tie the knots.
Back in post #34, SpiritWind asked you to submit a list of all the applications that are installed in your computer via a Hi-Jack This log. Your response, noted previously by Coastie as Post #35, is in the screen shot: (Click on the image to enlarge it.)
As you can see, 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 1 (SP1) is listed ten (10) times. I highly doubt there is ten separate installations of Office 2007 installed in your computer but I believe this is to what Coastie and Flashorn are referring.
To solve all of this, please open Add or Remove Programs from within the Control Panel and verify that there is indeed only one installation of Office 2007. At the very least, you may have a corrupt installation of Office.

If you do not, there is a significant issue with your computer.

My suggestion was only contingent on whether or not you actually still had the Office 2007 retail CD. Since it appears you do not, this now comes down to a registry issue. It appears the original Office 2007 installation was not uninstalled properly. Security issues, especially registry corrections, are not my specialty. I personally do not recommend anyone to make any changes to the registry, or use any third party registry cleaners, unless they know exactly what they are doing.
I will now step aside and see if any other members have any suggestions for you.

LOL Hi Coastie. That is a bit like killing a fly with a bazooka. LOL The underlying issue is definitely the fact that Office 2007 is corrupting the functionality of Webroot but would simply using another security application be a better alternative?

Moyer, you are stating two different things. First you indicated that you could not find the Office 2007 entry within Add or Remove Programs (in Windows Vista, it's called Program and Features). Now you are stating that you have had Office 2007 for over a year. Those are conflicting statements.
The screen shot I attached was from my Windows XP Operating System. I am currently using Windows Vista. Here is what you should see if you truly have Microsoft Office 2007 installed in your computer: (Click on the image to enlarge it.)
If you do not see something similar to this, Office 2007 is not installed in your computer. This contradicts the fact that the Hi-Jack This log shows ten instances of Office 2007.

I beg to differ but if you are adamant about your belief, there is really nothing more that I can say on that point to convince you. At any time have you considered uninstalling and then reinstalling the Webroot application?

I have not read through the entire Discussion but is this the only security application you have? If so, and if you do decide to uninstall this application, I would recommend installing another security application to see if you have the same issue. I personally do not provide software application recommendations; however, here are two recent Discussions where individuals asked for recommendations:
{thread:id=47380}
{thread:id=49923}
In addition to these Discussions, here are two Documents detailing some of the more popular security methods:
{document:id=1830}
{document:id=1141}
If you do have other security applications already installed, I would advised you to try those applications to see if you have the same issue. In either case, if you do not have the same issue, Webroot may not be your best security application choice. If you do have the same problem, I believe we would have to dig a bit more to get to the root of the problem.

As to the subscription question. I would have no idea. I presume that you did not sign a contract so I would say you can cancel at any time without being penalized. As far as getting a refund, that is something you would need to take up with Webroot directly. Here is a link to their legal notice. I do not see anything in there about their specific refund policy.:

However, you seem to be jumping the gun a bit. I still say you should run the test that was outlined previously. This will tell you if the issue is Webroot or your computer.
