Most factory cases are a real hassle to do anything with. You also have the problem of standoffs, for in a factory case they are set for a particular line of motherboards, and an after market board may not have the same stand off arrangement. An aftermarket case on the other hand comes with a number of screw in standoffs that can be put in various locations to support a wide variety of motherboards. It is alway easier to move a factory motherboard to an after market case than to do the reverse.
