Wow...it's great publicity for the smart energy industry. It's been buzzing lately with Obama in office and the stimulus bill in Congress. Right now, 85% of smart meters communicate via HomePlug, HAN, and Zigbee so it's going to be interesting to see how this affects those technologies.

Not everyone has a cell phone service, in fact more people have broadband access than they do cell phone service.

Well Google is not the first in this market. InPower Systems created PowerView alomst 2 years ago. It's an awesome system that can also measure natural gas use. Check it out at

We are helping find participants for an on-line survey of home energy monitors. There is a list of qualifying devices and you need to be using one of them.
The study ends August 30 2009, is offering a $10.00 Starbucks card for completed surveys. We vouch for the fact that there is no "trickery" with this request.
