! Anyone else having problems with this? Jason upgraded his firefox too and then adblock plus stopped working and he kept having issues. Mine updated and then I had to switch to Opera because it wasn't running correctly then ABP wasn't working either and a flash ad came onto my screen which would of been blocked and then I got a bsod. Everything is running now I'm on Opera again but I'd rather use ff for its spell checker and ABP if it works. Jason has downgraded his ff and said other people have had the crashing problems and are talking about it on Mozilla's forum.

Hi Aurora... My machine is working fine with v3.0.6. Did you try uninstalling ADP? The latest version is a bit of a resource hog, and leaves an .EXE program running (sorry, I don't remember the name of the file), even after FF is shut down. Try uninstalling it instead of disabling it. Also, clean out your private data in FF's Options/Privacy tab.
If all else fails, uninstall all of your add-ons, then completely uninstall FF (with Revo Uninstaller, so that you get the registry leftovers), making sure that you manually delete the files and directories left in the
C:Documents and SettingsYour NameApplication DataMozilla
C:Documents and SettingsYour NameLocal SettingsApplication DataMozilla
C:Program FilesMozilla Firefox
This will also erase all of your favorites and custom settings, so you should backup any links which are important to you. Reboot, then download a fresh copy of FF, and reinstall. I had to do this a couple of versions ago, and FF has worked fine ever since. I believe that FF is prone to having one of its profile files becoming corrupted, especially during updates.
Also, if you are running AVG antivirus, disable it before reinstalling FF. Apparently, the two programs don't always play nice with each other.

I've used it before but uninstalled it because of their fluke tos in which 'we own everything!' Apparently that was a negligence by their lawyer team copying and pasting something from another document. Just being lazy. Anyway I did have chrome before, when it first came out but unsure of its safety I haven't had it again as well. Right now its very light very fast and it looks good. So until I work out whatevers wrong with FF I am going to be using Chrome. Either way as I said in my first post I'm not the only one having these FF issues. When Jason had problems with his FF browser when it updated all the ads froze his computer and crashed FF once. He did some research on Mozilla's forum and found out other people were complaining about basically the same problem but their computers were crashing. When mine updated he told me that I need to downgrade right away and I didn't, seeing as Mozilla doesn't have older version on their website and he got his from file hippo which I got a virus off of before so I won't touch it right now. Thought I could maybe ignore the ads and see if it worked for me.... no ... it gave me a bsod sigh. Anyway thats basically whats going on when I go and try to fix it I'll let you guys know if it was successful or not.

Get Firefox 3.0.5 from PC World's download site. Specifically, here: http://www.pcworld.c...nloads/file/fid,23160-order,1-page,1-c,alldownloads/description.html
