We are not at all jealous of your "real PCs" by any stretch. Can you tell me one thing that a "real PC" does that a Mac is unable to do? Seriously, dude. Don't be stupid. Saying that this is poor journalism when your arguments consist of blatant lies seems incredibly hypocritical.

15. Whenever a store has such poor productivity and security reports, it's service will be upgraded. Those who are frequent to the store will notice that it looks exactly the same, however a new section has been added to the store with more unnecessary items.
16. Customers may gain access to the stores free for 30 days, but only to certain aisles. After the intial 30 days, the customer must pay a fee to receive the club card that gains them unlimited access to the store through an alternate entrance.

Ok. "PC"s can play graphic-intensive games that rival consoles. Seriously though, why is everyone taking offense to this? This is not a news report, it's a blog. It's intended to be entertaining. Yall "Mac rocks PC blows!" and "PC rocks Mac blows!" people need to get a grip on reality. I don't see people making such a huge deal about Pizza Hut vs. Dominos.

Apples Store: - Will be a sequence of shiny white boxes with nothing plugged in. In fact the entrance to the store will be a long white tunnel with light coming from the other end and a halo/hologram of Steve Jobs will mysteriously float above a white vapor in the shape of an apple. Rather than ask customers if they want to "purchase at least twice", Apple marketing has found it a much more efficient to simply charge twice the amount for each mac before they even get out the door along with a $250 service plan. If the customer questions the higher price, simply tell them "It Just Works, Think Different!"
During the ceremonies, worshiping ipeople will kneel and tell each other windows jokes in order to combat the pain of having just blown $2000+ following hidden charges. Nervous customers will be quickly diverted to the ipod booth where they will be promised 3 free itunes. However all customers using itunes will be treated as thiefs since their favorite music must be re-ecoded into proprietary apple format, just to be sure. If they start to miss windows, they will be reminded that if their wallet isn't empty yet, they can turn their OSX back into windows again by running special software, albeit at a slower speed... shhhh.
You see, it's not to hard to whip up the same kind of jokes, especially when true. Apple, over the years, has made most of it’s business out of making fun of pc’s and windows to attract it’s small share of idiots suffering from Stockholm syndrome when it comes to apple. Actually the fact that this is a posting of jokes is proof of this fact. I laughed at #2 because it was funny since it sounds like something microsoft would do. But some of the jokes weren't based on reality, but rather typical myths...

Ever hear of security through obscurity? It's a myth that windows is easier to break into. Actually apple sits around and waits for some big windows attack, and then claims that when apple is not attacked, that it must be because they are so much more bullet proof. If I've learned anything by watching, Making fun of windows is how apple has survived since the 80's. Truth be told, if apple got it’s wish. If it a magic wizard suddenly cast a spell and it was on 90% of desktops tomorrow, osx would be ripped to shreds by viruses and malware over night. Why? Because it’s not hardened or ready for that at this point like windows is. If anything, windows is far more robust in terms of security. Further proof, is that apple used to suggest anti-virus isn't needed. But now it's started to suggest it. So it seems osx became less secure in the last 3 years?. Wrong. Actually, more hackers are starting to attack it already. It's not that many, but it's enough that things are starting to change. apple isn't any better at this than windows. Yet this and other jokes keep flying around.

How about this...in a real PC i can remove any none integrated part and replace it with one of my own liking. Even if it is integrated I can still install my own version of it.
Not to be a bit fair to macs...you can do a bit more swapping of internal parts on some of the latest x86 macs. however compared to oem brns you still have way more leverage in this matter. You also have more choices in what OS you can install. With a PC I can install Windows, Linux, BeOS and many others
Here is something Apple friends and family don't consider. Even though Apple has an advantage in that they build there own pc and mete it with their own OS, MSFT doesn't get this benefit. And even without Windows does better. Fact is Steve won't allow OEM's to be able to install OSX on pc's because he doesn't want to deal with teh problems MSFT handles very well. Mac OS at 129 can be sold cheaper because Apple doesn't have any overhead to pay fro needing to offer support for an application that can only be installed on a preconfigured system. They all don't have to deal with teh need of overhead fro selling so many types of products. They also don't make there own hardware so ther are less ppl to pay so they simply buy someone elses saving them even more money. If Apple allowed OEM to install Apple they would gain dealing with issues of developers that make shitty software, shitty drivers and other crap we have to deal with. This is one area Steve probably made a good choice. However MSFT didn't make this choice either, they simply inherited it from IBM deciding to license pc's to other outfits. If they hadn't IBM's PC would have been the Microsoft PC and knowing teh quality of IBM's hardware it would have exceeded Apples very easily. In fact in the 90's when laptops were score agaist eash other the ThinkPad almost always made the top 10 laptop list...where was Apple? Howeever MSFT didn't chicken out and decide to be selfish and think about a single group..and IBM left teh door open for even ourselves to build our own PC. Back in the 80's 90's upgrading a mac meant buying a new mac as you couldn't change no hardware and even now it requires some very specific nohow as Macs doesn't come apart as easily as OEM based PC.
When it comes to hardware choices it is nice that when shopping for a computer I have a choice of looks and style and even colors. With macks you get 3 choices...black., white and silver..all boring colors. Since Apple say the represent life colors would be better. Apple once had colorful laptops that look like pillows..i though those were cool.
Also why compare Apple to MSFT when Apple is in fact a hardware company and MSFT is strictly software. Apple should be genius' when making hardware. And they do do very well and they make very good productive software.
It amazing how MSFT didn't do anything to prevent Apple from installing Windows, but Apple isn't allowing us to have OSX on PC's. Thats selfish and surely not thinking different. The best think about buying a PC it is is open to teh change of my own ideas...along with someone elses and Macs aren't. This is not just opinions these are facts based on teh limitation of owning a mac.
Lastly cost...the cost of acs should be even cheaper than what they are since Apple doesn't have all the overhead most OEM's have. And that fact PC hardware cost are very low thanks to teh fact we have competition in our huge niche market. Since Apple only builds their own susye and supply teh OS they have no reason to drop prices. Even in cases where Macs do match pc prices you still get far less. For teh price of a 13in MacBook I can get a 17 inch laptop. And yes if you want a smaller laptop we have them too. Apple can't make a $500 pc that wouldn't be a piece of crap. So you iw Mac Mini at 499? is a piece of crap? It isn't...you just dont want too because you like being expensive.
Are macs practical..for some yes? Are they as productive as PC's..well as long as you are willing to bend to a few rules...yes. Can macs do what pcs do? yes..but at teh same level. Gaming aside...macs are not totally compatible with enterprise softwares...that is only now getting better after 33 years...why so long? This is teh first time ever macs can truly compete against a pc and yet it doesn't do well. Based on a worldwide market macs take up 3% while Linux is at 1/2 that. In fact you can't even find macs everywhere yet. they do well here and in asian cultures...everyone in hte world has a Windows PC.
Macs are equally as good as a PC, but they are not better. I can close my eyes and walk into any store and grab any piece of software or hardware and bring it home and open my eye and it will work on a pc..not true of macs...i have to be limited. Even DOS did business better then macs...a GUI is nothing...its whats underneath all that candy that matters. If it wasnt for Steve coming back to Apple and Apple buying NeXT, Apple would have nothing. In fcat the tie between the first macs and the 1997 Apple was practically a ghost as i dont remember hearing nothing about them. All of a sudden after a deal with MSFT all of a sudden they have new life.Even though Apple wasn't dead they for sure had 1 foot in the grave and teh other was surely to fall afterwards. Many developers had already pulled the plug on developing software for ore then one platform because it is expensive. And since they arent selling much Apple software why do it. Only Adobe has continue to support Apple. I read in the DOJ report on MSFT, if MSFt had pulled teh pull on developing Office for the Apple, the last few developers would have followed suite. Considering the fact that if a huge developer with tons of money wont develop for Apple why should we. So factually Apple should be thankful Bill Gates proved to be the breathe of air they needed. Steve Got smart and switch to x86 because this elimiates teh need for developers to make software for 2 platforms. They simply have to have doifferent file types and installers. Not a lot of work. MSFT at least has stuck with teh same [platform from day 1...and developers don't have many new things to learn with each Windows versions...unlike Apple who has had what 4 or 5 different platforms. Talk about not being able to make up your mind. I dont dislike Apple..i disllike its fans who everytime MSFT makes a move you have to turn it into a MSFT vs Apple issue. Every moce MSFT makes has nothing to od with Apple. I wish MSFt never save Apple and it wouldn't even matter. I think MSFT did it...so teh DOJ wont be compalin that MSFT snuff another company into extinction. Bec if they did so since there are no other players in this market MSFT would have had full controll MSFT 88% plus Apple 10% means teh 2 percent who use Linux would simply die out too. So Apple count your blessing. If you knew how to do business MSFt would have never made Windows they would have simply been a developer like everyone else. After 30 years of MSFt being so far ahead of Apple...I can't see why to this day Apple fans just cant let go. Stop being a sore loser. If you want to beat Windows just simply make something that is so irresistably better and ppl will make teh change. But instead Steve rather show his hate of MSFT's success by running stupid ass mac vs pc adds. They are all stupid...and sure funny at times..but it is simply hate. Steve is a bitter old man who in facts hate Bill bec he did something better with teh GUI than he did. It not that Windows is so great compared to OSX..its teh fact that it is a paltform that simply offer more choice at a low price. And for what Windows does I dont have a problem with the price or even a few of teh issues.

Ya, isn't it funny how far off popular perceptions are.
You're certainly right that the perception is out there that Apple offers less choice than a PC running Windows. MS has even exploited that misperception in some of it's advertising, i.e. 'Windows without Walls'.
Truth is though, that you can run Linux, Mac OS X, and several versions of windows on the same Mac. That, of course, offers much more choice. And for the techies out there, you have the Unix terminal on the Mac, it comes w/Mac OS X.
Lots more choice, not less.
Funny, those misperceptions.

Yep, again a popular misconception.
Mac OS X is more secure because of the UNIX base, and because Apple stays on top of it.
There are pictures on the web, of the Windows Code base vs Linux, showing the comparative degree to which Windows is spaghetti code. Lots of complexity gives lots of points of attack.
Here's an article about a security guy that moved his whole office over to the Mac, because he got so disgusted with the Windows security issues. This is a guy who has the chops to do a real comparison. http://www.networkwo...tau.html?page=2
Of course, it's your money - for the clean ups, and lost time, etc., and your choice. Go ahead and stay there, it's OK with me.

Yeah, and isnt also funny how you can run other OS on various other hardware.... oh sorry except for Mac OS, of course (i forgot, how could i). And the only reason why you can run other OS on Mac is because of software like BootCamp and Fusion and etc. But you can't do it the other way around though... oh no Apple won't let you.... tell me how many "PCs" you know running Mac OS, NONE! Windows is just simply Universal.... Mac OS is just simply not... ah.... sorry!

Dude, obviously..... no sorry..... CLEARLY.... u have nothing to do tonight... what Apple isnt keeping you busy with it's "superior" software? what are you going to go through each and every page and comment for articles with microsoft and apple in it? ah dude its called a life.... get ONE... and p.s. don't call Apple... they won;t be able to help you with that!
Now wow ok some guy moved his stuffs over to the Mac.... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!! i'm sure there have been more people how have done that too just like how some have moved their stuffz from Mac to Windows... but I mean come on..... ok we all know vista has its problems... and you would probably find alot of forums with issues with vista but you know what... who cares!!! If you ask me Mac is only now becomming secure... before they never had security problems because they were not significant enough for hackers and others to hack the systems or developing programs to mess with Mac computers.... it's only been like what 2 - 3 months that they actually broke the 10% bar!!! I bet you if apple had the 86% + market share micorsoft had they would probably be in the same situation. come on, stop being a apple fankid and start using your head....
So you know what, if we want to "waste" our money and time then let us and go find something ELSE to do... oh but then i forgot... you have a Mac right... forgot they don't have any problems at ALL Right! So, no troubleshooting, error checking, nothing right, so you're just BORED! And well idle people do "idle" things!
P.S. the time you actually "waste" doing clean ups, etc. in most cases (98% +) helps you to know your computer better... but then you wouldn't know that would you... because Apple has you thinking differently... hmm.... just another Apple scheme that only Apple users fall for!
Ts ts ts... It is so sad... ah!
