Has anyone else had a problem with their Bookmarks disappearing when they updated to Firefox 3?

Hi Jim. There have been a couple of people who have expressed a concern about Bookmarks disappearing after updating to Firefox 3. So far, the consensus is to downgrade back to Firefox 2 and then confirm that your Bookmarks come back.
Additionally, I normally do not recommend software applications but this one is too good to keep to myself. Number6 mentioned an application called Foxmarks http://www.foxmarks.com. This application will sync your Firefox Bookmarks in a central location and you can access them from any location. In a situation like this, you could upload all of your Bookmarks from Foxmarks and continue on as if nothing happened.

Yes. It's simple.
Bookmarks->Organize Bookmarks-> Import and Backup->Import HTML
Then go find your .mozilla folder (for windoze machines it's in 'Documents and Settings' somewhere - search for mozilla folder). There's an HTML file that used to store all of your links that (for whatever reason) Firefox 3 didn't import when you installed it.

Hi, ~44270]. Just for the record, I don't think I've ever recommended Foxmarks because I've never used it. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it were a good application, though, because [it's recommended all over PC World. Perhaps you're thinking of someone else.
