Hi Elijah. I have moved this Discussion from the Windows Community into the Other Software & Services Community.

If I am following you correctly, you believe you currently have Skype version 3.8 installed but the error code indicates that you have version 4.0 installed. Is that correct? I have some questions for you:

- This is a very application specific situation. Have you contacted Skype yet?

- Have you checked the About Skype section of the application to make sure you have version 3.8 and not 4.0?

- When exactly did you receive the first message? (basically, are you trying to upgrade to version 4.0 or uninstall 3.8?)

My hunch is that this will best dealt with by a Skype technician; however, please follow-up with answers to these questions and we will see what we can do.

Thanks!

I did go to Help-About to make sure I had version 3.8 installed. Which I did. I searched Skype.com with the error I was getting and apperently other people have had the same problem. It said to go in a delete the Plugins folder in Program Files-Skype-Plugins. Which I did. Then I was able to install version 4 with no problem.

So, all is fixed!

Thanks again for your time!
