@Aurora, one of our bloggers just interviewed one of the women behind the Facebook petition, and the woman who started the “virtual nurse-in” protest. The podcast and transcript are on my blog. It is OK to post a link to it here?
Either way, thanks for covering this issue. It's important to breastfeeding moms. You only have to look at the size of the Facebook protest group (226,697 people) to see how important.
This issue is a new one in the digital world, but it’s not a new issue in family life. I was a breastfeeding mom of two, and am a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and a La Leche League International-trained breastfeeding peer counselor. Breastfeeding in public, at work, or even at home in front of family members has been controversial for as long as I can remember. Now it’s spilled over into online. The Facebook controversy shows how little and how far we have come.

@Aurora, thanks so much for giving me permission to post the link to our podcast/interview with one of the women behind the Facebook protest. Anyone who's interested can listen to it here: http://bymomsformoms...anie-muir.html.
If that link gets broken for some reason, you can also find it on http://bymomsformoms.net. Thanks again for covering this issue, as it's important to so many families!
