Yes, spread the article over 24 pages even though you could have just put them all on one page. Of course I'll patiently click through all 24.
Not.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that those are parking tickets - not Post-It notes. :)

This one, what is stated to be a fire, on Little St. looks more like a grill on the porch: http://pcw.streetvie...pages.com/fireb . If you 'drive' a bit forward or back and look, you'll see it is outdoors. Too bad some folks take a dim view of getting caught by Street View as it is entertaining!!!

These particular flying saucer pics (the ones from Japan and Australia) look like photographic artifacts - something reflecting off the inner surface of the glass protecting the camera lens (perhaps the roof and hood of the car in the midday sun???)

Now this picture looks like it could really be something quite extraordinary -

www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2348570.ece?OTC-RSS&ATTR=News

I checked it myself, and it's really there in Google Maps. Just search for "Wolverley St, Tower Hamlets, London E2, United Kingdom"

Yet you will take the time to post a (edited to remove personal attack) comment anyway.

So which is dumber? the person who writes an article (with pictures!) that the majority of people find useful, or at least entertaining? Or, the person who just calls it "stupid" and doesn't bother reading it because they think it is too long?

Although they are strange, interesting anyway. I enjoy using it to visit past homes and schools. Funny how many places I've lived are now non-existant. Ones now a gas station and another is a park.

Chance to sell more ads?

exactly, what a bunch of crybaby , its like they see a chance to get a lawsuit and jump on it, this is a new age and you can be caught on camera anytime, if they were on TV for something they wouldnt be whining, these kind of people are the ones that mess things up for everyone else, I wouldnt mind being seen on google, even if it was something embarassing at the time...

As a parent with small children. I do not like the view of my home from street view. You can see the back yard, swimming pool and all the potential kidnappers and pedophiles in and around my town now can see pictures of my children, their approximate ages can be figured out and there's a nice view of my home, all the windows and doors. For the average thief, there's also pictures of a vintage VW beetle convertible, other automobiles, a camper ... you get the picture. Were it a bit less detailed, I would have no objections. Privacy is a very valuable commodity that is getting more precious and more rare on a daily basis.

There are HOW many people using the internet? With so many people out of work and looking for ways to "supplement their income"... the concern does not sound all that unreasonable.

But, you have not "expectation" of privacy...it is a public street. Thus, to my knowledge, it is perfectly legal for someone to take a picture of your house from the street and post it anywhere.

Now, if the picture includes you or your kids, then there can be some issues. You have the right to control the use of YOUR image and likeness. If someone takes your picture and will then try to use your likeness to make money, I believe they generally have to first get your permission. And the reality is that Google makes money in some manner from this...thus, if they somehow get you (or your kids) in the picture, then they could be a legal case for you against them unless they get your permission to use your likeness.

But, then I am not a lawyer (I only play one on TV ).

Ya, you would think a website produced by a computer mag would have some expertise in desiging a photo gallery that would just change the photos instead of re-writing the whole blasted page with each photo change. How lame is that?
