OKAY, I removed FP 10 altogether, couldn't seem to find and download FP 9 successfuly. So,as of right now, according to the "add/remove" folder I don't have any Flash Player whatsoever. As you will see by my latest post, I was able to insert some pictures.Go figure. Will try to see if I can play any videos from like You Tube, because now I am way more confused than when I started. (besides, i am half Polish, so I started with a disadvantage to begin with):D Thanks for your help, I hope we can resolve this.

I was able to save 9.0.124 (and a few older versions) on my NAS at one point. It was this file I installed from. It occupies about 1.5 MB.

I originally thought it was another FF problem when if first cropped up on me, but when I had lost the ability to post at all, even in IE7, I looked for something that had changed. That was when I realized that AdobeFlash had updated from 9.x to 10 and uninstalled 10 and reinstalled 9.0.124.

That one link DOES allow you to download Flash 9...just does not have a nice installer. I will be playing with it to figure out how get it installed on my machine. If I can get it installed, then I will post back how I did it.

Hey Everyone !!

OK, Sorry for the abrupt leave but, this one isn't my fault.

I lost all Reply buttons on all posts. So, even though I was

signed in , I was not able to post a Reply to any post , either

in this thread or any of the other threads that I was working

on. I , just now , regained the ability to post a reply. I was

inserting a link and when I tried to post my reply , I got some

kind of error and all vanished along with my post. This is

VERY annoying as it's not the first time it happens but, just

not this long a period of time. OK, end Rant.

Now, back to the problem at hand.

To be able to view any kind of FLV. or Flash video , you Will need

the Flash Player. The Flash Player 10 will not hinder on any other

forum or YouTube video sites. BUT, for unknkown reasons , on this

buggy site , it will Not let you upload more than one image per post.

This is with FF3 and the same goes for IE8. I am also using the

new version of Sleipnir, a Japanese Browser and it does the same

thing as in the other browsers mentioned.

The work around that I found to keep watching FLV.'s and to be able

to post more than one image at a time , is to install FF2 along with

the Flash Player version 9.0.124.0 and for our beloved

Mac users Flash Player for Firefox on Macs .

The flash player above says IE but, it also works for Firefox .

If you have any questions ,I will post a reply as long as this forum let's me.

Hey rg !!

I don't think I can do a Doc. out of my post as I'd have to turn the

whole thread in a Doc. But , I will submit a WikiDocument for

approval as soon as I have the time.

Thanks for the thought.

Hi Flashorn. I wish I would have seen this before you created your document. The Document I listed earlier already outlines the exact steps, definitely not with all of your detail but it does have it:

"As an alternative to using Photobucket, you can use the Community's built in insert image tool:

* From within the reply section, click on the image insert icon (third from the right)

* When the Image Insert window opens, click on Browse and find the screen shot you saved

* Once you found the screen shot, click Upload

* Once the file is uploaded, click on Insert

* When ready, click Post Message to submit the screen shot within the Community"

Might I suggest that you edit that existing Document to include your more detailed information. It is best we try to have only one Document on any one issue. If you have any problems editing the Document, please let me know.

Hey MPH !!

First , I don`t use photobucket for anything except for my Sig.

Are you using IE or Firefox because , if we go by your way

you are clicking too many times. Also , you are using the

Plain Text editor while I am using the Rich Text. I was kinda

confused when you said , the third from the right . In Rich Text

it is : A picture is worth...

OK, I really don`t understand what you want me to do with the Doc. Maybe you could

just rearrange it the way you feel it should be, this way we will only have one of each.

I just don`t have the time right now with all of the time I spent on trying to get back in here

to do the rest of my posts

No worries Flashorn. When you get a chance, please resubmit your Document and add me as an editor. We can work together to make sure that these two Documents are as separate as possible and also gives the most detailed information possible. I will not be available throughout the day today but we will get everything squared away.

Hi and Thanks Everyone,

Just to give a follow up. I removed FP 10, I DID NOT install FP 9, so at this moment I have NO FP whatsoever. I am able to insert images into this forum and am still able to play You Tube videos. How can this be if I don't have FP?

Hey Sid, I don't have it either and can play youtube videos. I do have something called Adobe Shockwave Player 11 though. I don't know where it came from, but it's there. I have Flashplayer ActiveX in there as well. :p coastie

I think the Flash Player is necessary for Flash Video, not YouTube.
