Yes. Here is a link to the Microsoft Support page with that statement.

Hi joelisa. I am not sure you noticed this but there is an alternative to using the Add or Remove Programs utility. If the steps that RGreen provided does not help, please follow the quoted steps to use the "Windows Internet Explorer Uninstall Wizard."

I removed IE7 and IE6 was restored. That fixed the problem with IE. I can now navagate, enter text in the search panes. Now the next question is should I redownload #7 or go to #8?

Thanks again.

With pleasure. :D

I am not sure if there is a specific path one must follow. You have seen both sides of the argument for upgrading to version 8. Knowing both sides, I do not see any reason why you cannot try version 8 to see if it right for you. If it feels good, stick with it. If it is not quite what you want, you can upgrade back to version 7. Either way, I am glad that the problem is resolved. :D

Please let us know if you have any other problems.

Oh, since you have this Discussion marked as "Answered," please select the two (2) posts that you feel were "Helpful" and the post that you feel was "Correct."
