Hey, To be honest, I just use the Windows Firewall as well as the hardware firewall in the Router. They seem to be sufficient. If I add anymore, it blocks my internet access. coastie

:D Hi :
Recommendations for a software firewall is somewhat dependent on the SPECIFICS of
the Operating System, which I do not recall you ever mentioning !? Your "Profile" says
Win XP without any "Service Pack" version ( number ) or IF it may be the "Professional
Edition" !? Would not recommend the Win XP firewall and consider using a firewall from
the "List" at http://www.filehippo...ware/firewalls] . Any firewall chosen should be
"tested" by the "ShieldsUp" program at [http://www.grc.com . To "investigate" firewalls on
your own, I recommend you start by reading the Info at
www.matousec.com/info/articles/introduction-firewall-leak-testing.php and the other
Articles there .
