A few week ago I found out that I had some type of Trojan. I was able to get rid of it but now whenever I use Firefox, it is sluggish and does not repond all the time. What can i do to fix the problem? I really want to stay with Firefox but as of right now, IE is working better.

your computer is still infected... one program cant guarantee a system is completely clean

install and run scans with these programs (one scan at a time tho) preferably in safe mode

super anti-spyware

a squared

spyware terminator

:D Hi :
IF possible, Post the 1st 2 "Logs" from the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware scans so we can

see better as to WHAT SPECIFIC "Trojan(s)" it detected !? Saying it is "Gone" does NOT

mean there may be something else that was not "detected". Running 4 Scans usually

means that subsequent "layer(s)" were "revealed" as the top "layer" of a complex malware

were detected and then quarantined/deleted .

thank. I downloaded super anti-spyware and did a scan. It found a lot. It didn't find a trogen though. I also use ad-aware. I will use these three aplications and we will see what happens. Thanks again.

Fullmerj.... the first thing that I would want to try is to un-install firefox and try it again the problem exists because since you use firefox as a default browser then thats were the virus is going to hit first..... so it might of corupted something within the browser .... put the computer in safe mode and run the sercurity software again uninstall the brower and reinstall it again... best of luck to you ...... shouldnt be that hard to get rid of it ....

With any browser that is slow to respond the first thing you do is dump all private data, if that does not improve response then you look for other problems.
In firefox, click Tools, click Clear Private Data, then hit Clear Private Data Now.
You mite wanna uncheck Saved Passwords so you dont loose your saved passwords.
