I don't even know any centenarians, but the youngest "regular" at our Mac user group is in his fifties. Oh, and while we're on the subject of commercials...According to Microsoft, having a Mac makes me, a sextagenarian, cooler than a twenty-something redhead

I am only 83 years old but after several years of PC use I recognized the value of the Mac when they were first produced. I was on a waiting list for my first 128K from Dec 1984 to May 1985 and have been a highly satisfied user every since. Currently I use an iBook G4 and a 3G iPhone, 8GB. What a wonderful technological world we live in and what I would have gave for this equipment when I was in the workforce. I dazzled all my cohorts with the 128K so think about the possibilities!!!

I've used Macs and PCs both extensively in my career since the late 80's. I now use Macs almost exclusively. The usability of Macs over PCs is so far it's not even fair to compare the two. I have watched my aging dad and several other elderly friends struggle against the fragmented and unreliable Windows operating environment, battling every manner of installation issue, bloatware, viruses, bots, etc. When they were ready to throw their Windows PCs into the street out of frustration, I helped them buy iMacs. They got through the transition to OS X pretty quickly and I have heard nothing but praise since.

I helped a couple in their mid-eighties buy their first ever computer. When the salesman asked why they were getting a computer now, they responded, "We're in our eighties and we don't want to miss this Mac thing."

With age comes wisdom. With wisdom comes Macs. ;-)
