Martinezfaily welcome... for the ip3500 there really is no way to unlcog a print head its either that you replace the print head or buy a new printer I would not suggest doing this yourself if you dont know how to unless you know someone that works on the photo printer in the area that you live @..... best of luck

Assume when you say "all the check lists" you mean this:

http://www.usa.canon...upportDetailAct

If so, then your options from where I sit are:

1) Get a new print cartridge and/or new print heads. This could be simple if the print heads are part of the print cartridge (many inkjets used to have print heads in the cartridges...but I don't think they tend to do that much anymore). If the print head is seperate, then this could be easy (i.e. they could be a user replaceable part...that is the case on my HP OfficeJet Pro that I have) or it could be difficult (i.e. technically requires servicing or major "deconstruction" of the printer).

2) Get the printer serviced. It is usually cheaper just to get a new printer unless it is still under warranty.

3) Get a new printer.

4) Try some rubbing alcohol on the print heads/cartridges to see if it will loosen up dried ink....note: this one is a LAST resort...i.e. you have done everything else and are basically to the point of getting a new printer...if you have decided to get a new printer, then there is nothing to lose if you trash this one. I have done this in the past on some HP inkjets with success...don't know if it might work with a Canon or not.
