I know most of you have probably already heard this story and seen it, but thought I'd post it anyway. This is the 7 Min + plus version in a pretty decent quality video. I particularly like the reactions before, during and after the performance. All she had know in life was people making fun of her. It looks as if she had her moment and hopefully many more to come. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY&feature=related Be patient as it may be a tad slow in loading the Video. This thing isn't just getting hits, it is getting pounded.

Thanks for sharing that, Coastie!

I tell ya, I had a heck of a time (again) getting to post here, but it was all well worth it. Susan Boyle has an amazing gift, and I hope that she does well... in fact, I hear that Sony has already contacted her and want her on their label.

Alright Susan!!! You go girl! :) :D

Hey Adama, Good to see you again. I hadn't heard about Sony. I hpe she does well and she gets some protection from the vultures out there, that will undoubtedly try and use her.

Well, I definitely think that she could benefit from a makeover. There are a lot of people divided about that though... some say "makeover now!" And others say leave her be, she's fine the way she is...

I tend to believe that talent or not, personality and appearance are of utmost importance in that kind of business... so, I'm one of those hoping she'd at least have some kind of makeover.

I hear that Oprah is having her to her show this next week, so that should be interesting.

I just hope and pray that they just let Susan be Susan. As the Girl said at the end, "I think we have all learned a lesson here about appearances" or something to that effect. Indeed they did or should have. I remember taking a less than attractive girl out , that was developmentally ( mentally) challenged. We went bowling and for Pizza afterwards. Didn't have to, but she enjoyed it and it made my day to see her having some fun. I remember talking to her perents after I took her home and them thanking me. I told them no thanks were necessary as I enjoyed it and I did. People are people and they have feelings, but some people tend to forget this.

She does have talent when it comes to singing. I saw it on youtube and the audience went from being like "this is going to be horrid" to applause. I heard Simon Cowell is offering her a contract already.

Hadn't got a hold of the long version before.

I had seen a smaller clip only this morning. Heartwarming is an understatement. Makes me wish I was in the UK to follow her in the show.

Thanks for the link.

Absolutely stunning and the look of shock and admiration on Simon Cowell's face was telling as well.

Yeah, The initial reactions to her and then the reactions during and comments after the performance were priceless.

Yea, this really touched me ,too. I watched it with my sisters on Saturday. The audience went from whoa to wahoo! It really brought tears to us. I loved the expressions on the judges faces. :) Kristina

Susan Boyle's performance was good and suprising, but I still like Paul Potts better:

It was more than heart warming. This performance demonstrated more than anything I can remember, that (YOu can't judge a book by it;s cover). I leved it.

When I first saw it I cried. I have seen the off broadway production of LeMis because the song is my "heart song" Susan Boyle stunned every molecule of my very being. She seesm like she would be best at Broadway but if I had a CD i would be thumping the steering wheel as I went on down the road. It is sad she was picked on. But it happens to the best. I like her how she is but maybe a makeover will add a bit more spring to her step but then again I do not think she needs any as she is so dang cheerful.

I expect a lot of folks got a bit misty over that. I did like that song, and I thought that "I Dreamed a Dream" was appropriate in that situation. I agree she has the voice for Broadway. Having been on a ship that was homeported in New York, I could get free tickets to the Broadway shows through the USO. The only one I actually remember seeing was "Hair" though. I mostly got tickets to the Yankee's games in the Summer.

HAIR! Now there is a memory. I remember seeing it when I was about 14 and getting my mouth washed out with lava soap because I was singing a certain song which I did not know the meaning of the words used.

I think the neat thing about Miss Boyle is that there was a man sitting in his chair, feeling alone, never knew a heartbeat that matched his or tasted loves first kiss and saw her perform and cried because there was someone like him for him. Now if they could just meet......

How ironic, getting tickets to "Hair" when you guys didn't have any.

More than the incredible performance, I think that the expression on everyone's faces were priceless. I sincerely hope that this lady has a bit more than 15 minutes of fame... she deserves it.
By now, most people who have been following this knows that she recorded the song Cry Me a River about ten years ago, which was included on a limited edition for charity CD. For any who haven't heard it, here's the link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jI2DxkrgpgQ
