She reminds me of Ethyl Merman - she didn't have pin-up looks like Betty Grabel, but she had a voice that wouldn't quit, and because of her structure could really belt them out.
Here's a like to her 1999 Demo "Killing Me Softly" .
I notice that her "dreams" YouTube video has had over 45 million views and "Cry" is already over 4 million. I think her days as an unknown are over.

heheheee Your mother flew in there...? that's priceless, Coastie! :0 :D
Last week my BFF called me into her room and handed me the earphones that were connected to her laptop, and she said "Listen to this" It was that Cry me a river song that Susan Boyled had recorded 10 years ago!!! I reacted like most everybody else... shock, elation, tears, yada yada yada... the girl can sing alright!
I know that we all say why didn't she get discovered back then? but I think that it's like everything else... it just wasn't her time, and maybe we, as a people, weren't ready to receive the gift of her fabulous voice. The Universe has a perfect timing, and this is her perfect time as well, IMHO.

Hey Adama, good to see you again. :^0 I meant that figuratively, not literally. She DID get in here in a hurry though. In regards to Susan Boyle, it is certainly her time now. I guess she was meant to stay in the village and look after her mother, and after her mother passed on, it was then her time to shine as it were.

Hi Coastie!!! Yeah, I knew that... LOL :p
And, I think that Susan B. is starting to look better. I saw her on ET after she had just had her hair done and eyebrows thinned, wearing khaki pants, a leather jacket, white shirt and Burberry scarf. A little makeover and she looked kind of spiffy!
Yay! Kudos to her! :D
