is it a good idea to run both of these programs- threatfire and system protect at the same time on my computer?

or is it overkill when combined with comodo internet security (free)

Hey crazy !!

Well , Threatfire is made to work with an Antivirus program so,

I guess if you don't mind the extra resources it takes then, I think

you should be OK. Only one word of caution when dealing with

HIPS programs, they are heuristic based and as such , are more

prone to False Positives. Be absolutely sure that, when it reports

Any intrusions, you Google that entry or make use of ProcessLibrary.com

or ProcessID . If you have any .ext you haven't

seen or don't know what it is from then , DotWhat is the place to go .

System Protect :

One question : Do you Back-Up your files regularly ?

This , in my opinion , is resources badly spent. But hey,

if it makes You feel safer then , it's your call. it's also Your

PC . (in your case , I think , Notebook . right ?) It will simply

make sure to ask if you really want to delete this file. In some

cases , malware MAY attempt to delete files or processes.

Commodo Internet Security :

Is it the FREE version or the Paid For version ? Some swear by it others

just hate it. Again , this is your call. If you are satisfied with this Suite then,

keep it. You feel it is enough security then , enjoy your protection from them.

AND yes, they will all play well together. I haven't seen or heard of any conflicts

from any of the forums I check.
