I assume you have office 2007 ....Sp 2 RTM just came out 2 days ago............

To make sure you don't have any malware/spyware that prevent you to run the updates....

Run a complete scan on these ....:

www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Post your OS .....browser ......& pc's info ....if you need more help.

It was kind of confusing ...Cos....you mentioned "Word" & sp2 ........Thats why I thought your trying to install Office07- SP2 .....coincidently just came out ......

I don't know whats running and blocking the sp2 to install..........Did you sign-in as an Admim....?

Was sp2 came up when you ran "Window Auto update" or you downloaded manually...?

The reason I ask because you might get sp3 with auto update ...which I think it 'd be better or more suitable for your pc.......

What do you mean by "reboot"..was it a reset..... or reformat and reinstall a clean window ........? Did you use the original wds-cds that came with pc....?

Anyway ...check out this link....: support.microsoft.com/search/default.aspx?catalog=LCID%3D1033&query=xp[isp2[/i]install+problems&mode=r]

i cleaned my windows and installed it again from a cd the cd that came with the computer

ive checked the link and all microsoft homepages that is supposed to help me but didnt find any answer there

You might find Sp 3 with the language your looking for....... !http://forums.pcworld.com/legacyimages/
1! You have to google it..(Cut&Paste is borken for now...)

Really don't know if your pc is ready for it.......

It'd not hurt to try....

Good Luck.
