Hi,
I have an Alienware computer that is liquid cooled I bought 3 years ago. Of course the warranty I bought just ran out in February. At first the computer just turned off at random times. Then the "blue screen of death" kept showing up when I booted the computer. I reformatted my hard drive but the BSOD came back. Then I could start it and get to where I entered my password before it died. Now the computer will not start. I press the on button and it starts to whir and dies again and again. I checked the voltage and temperature with some online tools that were recommnded to me when the blue screen first started to show up and all was fine there. I then bought a new 650 watt extra quiet and extra cool power supply to the tune of $130 and put it in. Nothing changed. I use my computer all the time for personal use, to take care of my ill mother's affairs, and for my business. HELP!

Hi Dorje51. Do you remember whats error it shows when BSOD appears......? We need that to find out the cause of what brings your pc down.....
Please post pc's OS -WDs-model-browser and all specs (NOT serial-number)..
Here is a shot in the dark ...:
Start pc in "safe-mode" ......(Tapping ....F8 ..."before wds start") ....do a system restore .......back to the point before bsod happens.....

A couple things:
First, I have YET in my years of computer experience to experience a blue screen due to a power supply, so I highly doubt this is the culprit.
In order to help you, we need more information on the machine.
Operating System and Service Pack? Amount of memory installed? Size of hard drive? Type of Processor? Programs currently installed?

It sounds like a component failure of some sort. Since it is an Alienware and liquid cooled, it probably means the CPU was highly over clocked. If that is the case, then it likely has failed due to the stress. That or the memory are the only two components I can think of that will cause a start immediate shutdown, other than the PSU, but the new PSU would have resolved that.
Some other specs would help such as the CPU and how much it's been over clocked, as well as how much and what type of memory.

Hi Foxy. Bsod normally comes with an error message flashing ....If you have "AUTO-RESTART" on..... then you would not have enough time to see it....
Disable auto-start will keep error page on desktop...." Some thing like this.....:
Have I answered your question...? or I missed something .....?
