I used my Ipods exclusively for podcasts. My old Nano, which finally died about 18 months ago, continuously played podcasts. I did not have to start a new podcast when the one I was playing ended. I assume, but do not know, that this has something to do with the more recent versions of ITunes. Is there a safe way to change my Ipods/ITunes so that the podcasts will play continuously?

I suspect it is a function of the iPod's embedded OS/software. To my knowledge, there is no way to do anything from iTunes to change that. You might be able to find a setting on the iPod itself, but I have yet to find any such setting on my 5.5 Generation iPod (aka iPod Classic style).
