my HP Laserjet P1000, printing dirty copies...

i already cleaned the rollers and other exposed parts but still printing dirty copies...

i open the cover of the green part (green tube) of the toner and it is covered with black powder like dust...

i cleaned it but after printing a copy, it will start printing dirty copies...

it started when i purchased a toner from another store...

is the toner that i bought defective?

i changed it with new toner purchased in that same store, still printing dirty copies...

the black powder is what makes the "ink" on the prints... so the black powder/dust is a good thing (the powder is called toner)

the dirty copies might be coming from a bad fuser... a fuser is a heating element that melts the toner onto the paper

when the fuser doesnt heat evenly, or not hot enough, only some of the toner will melt... thereby causing dirty prints

talk to a printer expert about your problem

Dirty print copies can come from a couple different causes. First you have to understand how the process works. The toner cartridge has two parts, one is the photo drum, the green colored roller you see behind the spring loaded door, the second is the toner hopper that holds the toner and deposits it onto the photo drum where it has been scanned by the laser. Another part of the cartridge is an excess toner holder that is cleaned off the photo drum after it is rolled against the paper. Often, when a generic or refiller toner cartridge is bought, the hopper that holds the excess toner doesn't get cleaned out and gets over filled and spills out unto the photo drum, one cause for dirty copies. Once the toner is deposited unto the photo drum, it rolls against a clean sheet of paper and a corona transfer wire underneath the page attracts the toner to the page. The corona transfer wire lies in a channel and is charged with a voltage to attract the toner. If the wire is broken or the voltage circuit is bad, the toner will get spread all over the place. Right after this wire is an area that has a grounded serated edge piece to disipate the charge on the paper that results from the wires close proximity. A bent edge or dirty edge would allow the charge to be disipated unevenly and even cause smudges and shadows around the print. The last stage is a fuzer assembly, basically a teflon coated tube with a heat lamp inside to heat the page and fuzer the toner to the paper. This assembly has a cleaner bar that should be part of a new toner cartridge and is intended to be replaced each time you replace the cartridge. If the cleaner bar doesn't get replaced, it builds up with excess toner and can cause dirty print and if allowed to build up can score the teflon coating and cause dirty print too. I hope this helps you out. Good luck.
