First check that your flash drive /hdd is on ntfs mode

Nothing is wrong with Installing Windows using a USB or Hard Disk Drive. It works similar to DVD.

works beautifully for HP TC1100, actually put the installation on the main drive (SSD 128GB Trim supported)
