@jusdaddy28

I know coastie and other members going to ask this.

What is your computer's specification?

Did you do anything that lead to this?

Yes please do post those specifications, along with what Anti Virus App you have. I run Avast and it works great. http://www.avast.com/

Try downloading malwarebytes onto a flash drive a scanning from that.

Hi, Seeing as how the others have asked for your system specs as well as what you were doing prior to this happening, I won't. One thing you can try is a system restore to an earlier time before this came up and see if that helps. coastie

Posted Image Hi :

You should provide follow-up Info in your previous Thread at

forums.pcworld.com/thread/57060|t-57060 BEFORE you start a brand new Thread here .

At this point you have provided little helpful Info, such as the SPECIFIC "Name" of your

Operating System and IF it is either 32 bits or 64 bits !? And installing/uninstalling the

2 Browers ( IE-unknown version & firefox-unknown version ) have caused unnecessary

problems ; having Firefox does NOT mean IE should be "uninstalled", since it is needed

to UPDATE/UPGRADE an Operating System .

I have locked your previous thread. Do Not start a new thread on the same problem as it will prevent you from getting the help you need. In the last thread, i asked you if you were using an administrator account or Users account and never received an answer. To downlod and install programs, you must be running in an adminstrato's account. coastie

OK. In Control Panel, Click on ADD / Remove programs. Once the list is populated, go through it and see if you have a browser listed ( FireFox or IE ). coastie

This could also be a Malware issue. If you can navigate to the internet, then Download the following and save it to your desk top DO NOT INSTALL IT. If you can do this, then once it is done, close all running programs, then click on the desk top icon to install www.malwarebytes.org & www.SUPERantispyware.com . We'll wait and see how the already recommended things go before continueing as there may be some work needed in the registry in order to reset IE. coastie

Coastie, you may have seen... I already reccomended running malwarebytes off a flash drive. I can't really reccomend Superantispyware because of the bad reviews I have seen. I also don't think this would really work as didn't he say he couldn't download anything new?

Depends on what if anything that may be there. I forgot about the flash drive option you put out there. There is a small chance that he may be able to download and SAVE it to desktop, but unable to download and directly install from the web. I'm not 100% sure on an infection anyway, just covering the bases as it were. If push comes to shove, it may mean a reformat and reinstall will be needed. coastie

I don't think there is any need to save it. If you can transfer the program file form another computer to the flash drive then you can run the program right off the flash drive, no strings attached.

Yeah, The flashdrive option is the best way to go, if possible.

Does it recognized the flashdrive when you plug it in?
