Keep getting an error message that I need a driver for my USB CABLE modem 351000 and than I am told to insert the disk or call the co for a disk. How do I find out who to call or if I have the disk?

Did you purchase the modem or was it provided by your cable company?

The cable Modem was installed by Charter, my cable co a year ago,but I didn't start getting this message till I installed a Belkin Router, a few months ago.. Belkin says it didn't happen because of the router.

Ok. Most modems for cable and DSL are connected via ethernet to the router. Now if you had connected the modem directly to the computer, many can be connected either with a USB cable or an ethernet cable. (My Siemens DSL modem provided by Windstream is this way).
However, there are not too many routers that have a USB input. Here is a sample connection from a Linksys brochure:

How are you attempting to connect the modem to the router?

Where did you get the Modem....?

There should be a cd driver in the package if you buy it new......

Check out this ..."Dunno if it works for you" .....: www.yournewdriver.com/USB[uCable[/u]Modem351000551.htm]
