Wow that's amazing art LOL jk
Windows Mobile phones have been able to do this for quite some time now. As with many iphone apps that come along and make everyone flip their lid, there’s usually an uglier windows mobile app that does the exact same thing, did it long before the iphone did, and of course normally costs nothing at all. Yes, that’s right, this same “piece of art” could have been made for free on a Windows Mobile phone 5 years ago.
I’m not trying to hate on iphone users, apple, or Colombo, but let’s get real here; There’s nothing revolutionary about this, the art isn’t that great, and it’s just the typical over-glorified nonsense that goes along with Apple products. A windows mobile phone did it? Bah, who cares. An iphone did it? STOP PRESS!

Honestly, I don't think an artist such as Colombo would own a circa 2004 WIndows Mobile phone, therefore making the art impossible. Face it, Windows Mobile phones, despite functionality, have 0 style. The iPhone, however, is one of the most stylish pieces of tech that you can carry around. And it has all the functionality with that style. That's why Apple fans, and most artists, use Apple products. Functionality is only a sliver of why a user wants a product. Style is another sliver. That's why it's a big deal, because it's not only functional, it is also stylish.

By your logic: This is a big deal because the iphone looks pretty. THAT is pretty funny. The point I was making is anytime Apple is in the news, people over hype it and act as if something miraculous has taken place. Don't get me wrong, I hate it when this happens with anything, not just Apple, but for whatever reason, Apple news is over glorified and uninformed people assume Apple products are breaking new ground when really they are just playing catch up.

How many people will read this article and think to themselves, "WOW! You can paint on the iphone!? That thing is amazing! Why hasn't any other phone come up with that!?"

Ask yourself this: why are Apple products "over-hyped"? And lest I sound like a fan-boy, I run a Windows PC, currently, because it meets my needs better than a comparable Mac would. I would prefer a Mac laptop, but for heavier computing, I prefer Windows. That is largely irrelevant, however. What is relevant is why Apple products are "over-hyped". Because they refine what Windows des and make it user-friendly. Windows phones frankly suck at UI. The iPhone has the best UI of any phone out, hands down. Want proof? Use one. It's fun. Something Windows Phones have never accomplished. And if the User Interface sucks, what User will Use it? Just logic, there.

I suppose if Apple made the Etch-a-Sketch that would also be considered groundbreaking.

I say, "Big deal!" followed by an equally awe-inspired "Ho-hum."
